Photos....argh!

As promised here are some photos from our wee jaunt (5km) at the Race for Life. It was a brilliant day out and was made even more special by the fact me and Cali were joined by our good friends Pam & Kiera. Thanks girls

Race for Life - 2008

WE DID IT!!!

What a fantastic day. We (me, Cali, Pam & Kiera) completed the 5km in just over an hour. It was a great experience that I'll never forget and am so happy to have taken part. It will definitely be on my list of "To Do's" for next year.

I'll be adding photos to this post a little later. My camera died on me so when I get copies from Pam - they'll be here for all to see.

I really enjoyed and was inspired by the messages on the other ladies and girls back, as to who they were running the race for. Some had family members and friends, some were for all effected by cancer but each had a special meaning to each runner. Mine simply said:

I ran the race of life for family, friends, strangers and future generations. xx

Thanks to all of you who donated, you made it a special day for me!

Race for Life

OK so I have now officially signed up for the Race for Life.
My daughter Cali (7yrs) , Victoria & Gillian (work mates) and myself are going to be taking part in the Race for Life at Camperdown Park, Dundee on Sun 15th June. I might even wear some fairy wings...hehehehe!

I am not the fittest person (ok understatement - I am SO UNFIT) so I'm more likely to be walking instead of running.

It is all women and girls taking part raise money for Cancer Research. It is a charity very close to my heart. I have two aunties (sisters) who have been affected by breast cancer, a very dear friend Melissa in USA (who is bravely fighting breast cancer at the moment) and a very dear friends Janet & Jeff also in USA (husband and wife both with cancer).

If anyone would like to sponsor me and the girls (Pwetty Pwease), there is a little widget to the right hand side of the blog for donations.

Any donations will be gratefully received from the bottom of my heart (and trainers by the end of it, LOL!)
